How to choose

Before having your heat pump installed, you need to choose the most appropriate unit for your home. When selecting a heat pump you need to consider the size and type of room it is going to be installed in. What's included in the offer

The Bunnings Heat Pump Supply and Installation service is for a single level back-to-back installation only.

A Standard back-to-back installation is a split system with two main components – a wall mounted indoor unit with an outdoor unit positioned directly below and opposite on a single storey dwelling.

Included:

  • Single level back-to-back installation of your selected heat pump
  • Installer site visit to your property
  • Installation by a licensed, professional installer
  • Up to 3 metres of pipework & ducting (concealed by PVC)
  • Up to 10 meters of electrical cabling
  • Outdoor unit placed on existing hard level surface i.e. concrete, timber or pavers
  • Installation on weatherboard or timber clad properties only
  • Electrical Compliance Certificate

Yes, the installer will bring this to your home on the day.

Travel up to 35km from the store booking your installation is included. If the installer is required to travel further than 35km from the booking store there will be an additional charge per excess KM travelled.

This is when the outside compressor unit and internal head unit are installed directly opposite each other. This is classed as a standard installation.

In these circumstances you can purchase the FREE, no obligations Measure and Quote Service to find the right heat pump for your home.

Yes we deliver non back-to-back installation but additional charges will apply.

Yes. The condensate pump is used to pump the condensation up and through the pipe work in the roof to wherever the outdoor unit is located.
An internal wall is any wall inside the home that does not back onto the outside the house.

No. Old piping can affect the integrity of the product and its warranty.

The supply and Installation offer is for the specified units only. Bunnings Heat Pump Supply and Installation Service is available in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Mount Maunganui and Christchurch and can only be used with selected products, as shown in store or online, purchased from Bunnings. Installation must be paid for prior to booking. ‘From’ pricing represents ‘standard’ and ‘back-to-back’ installation of a split system unit. ‘Non standard’ installations will incur additional charges. Excess travel is charged when the customers home is further than 35km from the nearest store.
