New Zealand Climate Zones

With a focus on energy efficiency, the H1 updates are explained by the introduction of additional climate zones. This will allow the insulation requirements to better reflect the different temperatures experienced through the different regions within NZ:

Map of New Zealand divided into six climate zones with corresponding colours, from zone 1 (warmest) in red to zone 6 (coldest) in dark blue. Each zone corresponds to different minimum insulation requirements for roof, windows, walls, slab-on-ground floors and other floors. Climate zone 1 includes northern regions like Northland; zone 6 includes southern parts like Southland and Otago.
